Eat & Exercise

Delete your account & data

Applies to the Eat & Exercise app (developer and data controller: Yumei Zhu) · Last updated: 27 August 2026

There are two ways to delete your Eat & Exercise account. Both end in the same permanent deletion described below.

Option 1 — delete inside the app (fastest)

  1. Open Settings → Account.
  2. Tap Delete account… and confirm.
  3. Choose what happens to the copy of your records on your phone: keep it as local-only data with no account, or delete it from the phone too.

Deletion runs immediately and signs the phone out.

Option 2 — request deletion by e-mail (no app needed)

If you no longer have the app installed — or simply prefer e-mail — send your request to:

You do not need the app, a password, an access token or any other secret to use this route — and we will never ask for one. To let us find and verify the right account, please include only:

  • which sign-in you used — Continue with Google or Sign in with Apple;
  • if you still have the app, the short account id shown under Settings → Account (its first characters are enough);
  • if you no longer have the app, say so — because we deliberately store no e-mail address or name, we will reply with a simple verification step appropriate to your situation to confirm the account is yours before deleting it.

Please don't send anything else — we don't need (and don't want) extra personal information to process the request.

What deletion removes

Both routes permanently remove, on our server:

  • your account record and internal user ID;
  • your sign-in identities (the Google/Apple account identifier, and any stored Apple refresh token — where Apple's revocation interface is configured, the Apple authorisation is revoked as well);
  • all synced records — meals, workouts, sleep, cycle events, weights, food decisions, plans, daily targets, ledger entries and stored insight reports;
  • your AI-consent and Terms acceptance records, insight-allowance timestamps and any Founding Access entitlement;
  • every signed-in session, which is invalidated immediately.

What is not covered, and retention exceptions

  • Data on your own phone: the in-app flow lets you keep or delete the local copy; an e-mail request cannot reach your device, so remove the local copy by deleting your data in the app or uninstalling it.
  • One anonymous counter: if you received the closed-test Founding Access entitlement, the campaign keeps a count of how many places were ever claimed. It is a plain number with no user reference — nothing in it identifies you.
  • Processor-held AI abuse-monitoring records: deletion removes your Eat & Exercise server records, but if you used AI features, Google may hold abuse-monitoring records of those past requests (prompts, contextual information and outputs) under its current Gemini API policy — up to 55 days unless a verified Zero Data Retention configuration applies. We cannot erase those immediately; they expire under Google's own retention policy. See the Privacy Policy, section 6.

Those are the only verified exceptions. No hidden identifier tied to you is retained by Eat & Exercise after full deletion.
